β€œAll of my words, if not well put or well taken, are well meant.”
— Woody Guthrie

Though born in the Chicago land area, Anthony grew up in the St. Louis metropolitan area where he spent a lot of time playing music of all kinds. He got his BA in Instrumental music from Truman State University where he studied Euphonium with Steve Seward, the principal tubist of the Kansas City Symphony. During this time Anthony developed a love for writing songs with a political charge and playing traditional music on fiddle and guitar with friends.

Anthony has performed around the country playing original and traditional folk songs, blues, and spirituals to a wide range of demographics. Inspired by artists like Andy Cohen, Utah Philips, old-time traditional American music and the revivalists of the 20th century, he continues to promote the music of the people.
